Leadership is scarce because few people are willing to go through the discomfort required to lead.

The scarcity makes leadership valuable. If everyone tries to lead all the time, not much happens. It’s discomfort that creates the leverage that makes leadership worthwhile.

In other words, if everyone could do it, they would, and it wouldn’t be worth much.

It’s uncomfortable to stand up in front of strangers.
It’s uncomfortable to propose an idea that might fail.
It’s uncomfortable to challenge the status quo.
It’s uncomfortable to resist the urge to settle.

When you identify the discomfort, you’ve found the place where a leader is needed.

If you’re not uncomfortable in your work as a leader, it’s almost certain you’re not reaching your potential as a leader.

“Life isn’t complicated, only what you make it to be”

Its so easy to get confused these days. Life is simple right? All you need is food, clothing, and shelter to live “happily”, its the extra cold shit in life that just makes it a lil complex. For example, you could drive that Rav 4 (WARNING: Kanye doesn’t approve of this) and be fine. But Its that desire to drive that BMW 745 that really kinda makes it hard to drive that Rav 4. So what do you do? Well if you want that BMW then working part time at Steak and Shake aint really going to cut it. So you need a better job, witch means you either need to find the hook up or go to college. Now you got to get a loan, sit and wait for that debt to show up, Now you got your degree and you gotta pay that loan back, Wait Theres MORE! Nobody is hiring in your field and now your working part time at Burger King cause Steak and Shake is mad that you quit to go to college. Now your in the same rat race as everybody else and you are in too deep to go back. Good luck with that BMW.

“be Happy or be Satisfied”

There is something that you love doing that just makes you happy to the point where yo feel you could do it all day. It could be playing ball, video games, talking, reading or whatever, the point is that it makes you happy. The only thing is that you probably don’t get to do that for a living or as much as you want to. The hard part is doing it to the point where you are satisfied and cool with the fact that you have to get back to your responsibilities. If you don’t make yourself happy then you are going to live a sad ass life. If you cant be completely happy then at least find a way to be satisfied.

“Life repeats the lessons you didn’t learn the first time“

They say the definition of crazy, is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Well if you find yourself feeling a lil crazy then you need to make some kind of change. If you find yourself in the same situation as before then that mean you didn’t learn your lesson, it was something that you didn’t totally understand from your last situation and now you have to face it again. Take a step back and look at it again, what is it that you missed? If you find that then you will know what you need to change.

Nobody is as cool as they want you to think they are. Everybody does at least 1 thing that you think is silly as hell, So what. I think being normal is overrated, I mean come on, who really is normal nowadays anyway? All the interesting are slightly OFF. I know you don’t listen to Gucci Man cause he’s a prolific poet. You ain’t watch Flavor of Love because you thought there was a possible love connection afloat. All I’m saying is, embrace that lil thing you do when nobody is around to judge you, it’s the only thing that is really yours.

“Mind your business”

The poor and working class work for money, The rich have money work for them. Assets make money and Liabilities take money, if riches is one of your wishes in your life, then you HAVE to have more Assets then Liabilities. You may not be working at a job that’s your “dream” job, but minding your business means focusing on your real goal even though at the moment you aren’t exactly in the situation you want to be in. Think of McDonalds, you might think that McDonalds main business is flipping patties and supplying you with “McNuggets Loving”, but that’s not all true. McDonalds main business is owning prime real estate and they do this by sitting their franchises on top of that land. What im saying is, Start a company, develop a talent find a way to profit from it, do what ever it takes to own a asset and you will be closer to the real American dream.
